Diversity and the New World

Diversity, still today plays a major factor in the today's society, and events that continue to take place daily. We experience diversity in school, home, news and many other daily activities that we take part in. A major change, is that diversity is continuing to make great changes in society. Look at our new president, finally in society we have begun to accept the color change, and allowed ourselves to have a new president of different skin color. Something we have been striving for a great deal of time. One other great accomplishment is just waking up in the morning, and walking around school. Being able to finally notice the many different types of ethical groups and skin colors that we are finally surrounded by. Even though their are still many things we can say we still need to work on, from police abuse to events in the news that highlight colored people. We have finally slowly begun to accept a great change in America, and overtime hopefully things will continue to become better for us all.

War and if the end will ever equal PEACE

I want to research in this course the Wars that have affected our country in the last few years. This motivation of war has made me really think about what has been occurring in the different parts of the world, and the number of lives we lost in this country for what real reason? I personally feel we have engaged in many different wars, and have lost numbers of American lives for no acceptable reason. The media and government says that we are making this world better for our future kids? I don't understand how that's true our economy is falling under and our people are becoming poorer as each day go's on. I would like to research the inside of the government and get some solid answers to why we have been at war for the last many years, and will we ever as a nation be able to accept peace.

English 202 Research Writing, Jan 25

My name is Paul Coccia, i currently am studying Criminology at IUP. Growing up as a young kid, i looked at life in many different ways from things that inspired me to write about as well as stories that i had the chance to read. I always found myself reading books based on war and action events that occured in life. I always preferred writing and drawing pictures of war stories that i read about. Most of the writing that i completed as a younger kid was in Middle school. My seventh grade English teacher Mrs. Simmons, would allow us to write about events and life focuses that affected us or drew the most attention to us. As i began to continue to write during the year, i clearly become focused on news events and found myself writing about mysteries of life, and civil wars that broke out over the world. When i got into high school my writing changed from free writing, to reading poems and short stories. I learned how to write poetry, based on just about anything that came to my mind at the time being. I learned then to complete 10 page papers on simple topics that took place in history, or events that were occurring in the news daily.

English 202, Activity One Blog

The Purpose, I am writing to express the feelings of something that i am trying to define. As i look at myself as a writer, i definitly can look back to many of my childhood memories. I find myself writing not only for stories and poems, but for many different people and ages of audiences to view my feelings of english.
The audience, that I normally tend to write for can be covered generally on any age and any type of person. I usually tend to get my audience's attention bye, using chatchy phrases and general open discussion topics.
The types of writings, the types of writing that i would choose to do. Would definitly be poems or short stories, i tend to like poetry more than everything due to the ways some authors discuss certain topics and cover certain meanings of life.
