English poems Conf, 2010

I had the opportunity yesterday to watch an English conference with panel eight in room 105. Two seniors presented there poems to us in which they had written. The 1st poem was written about the young ladies father who recently passed away. The poem caught the rooms attention due to how sad it was, and the usage of words to catch your minds attention. The young lady didn't cry as she read the poem, but you could tell it was a difficult read for her. She wrote the poem to remind herself of her father, and the great memories that she had while he was alive. I noticed the way she phrased words throughout the poem in which she wrote, she included her personal feelings as well as her inner thoughts, and sad memories. The conference was good to learn about different styles of writing, and to see the different aspects of poems that you can trans end. We also held questions at the end, and discussed the different ways in which you can start writing poems, as well as different styles that you can define in writing literature.
